Centro San Juan Diego is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish), full-time Program Coordinator in Denver, CO (2 positions available). The Program Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the other program coordinators to coordinate the adult education and family services programs and resources. This includes ongoing program evaluation, research about programs, and program development that is relevant in the advocacy for individuals and families seeking education opportunities and family support services. The position is responsible for providing onsite support and instruction to students and volunteers, that includes: registration, student support, class logistics, promotion, volunteer recruitment and supervision, and some event planning such as graduation. Also, this person will be responsible in the collection and tracking of payments, database entry, and producing program reports on a regular basis. All responsibilities are performed under the supervision of the Program Manager, in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church and the goals and objectives of the organization.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
~ Marketing and promotion of classes and services through media, parishes and community organizations;
~ Plans and coordinates annual events such class graduations;
~ Assisting in the hiring and selection of instructors;
~ Forecast annual budget and maintain accurate records on an ongoing basis;
~ Intake, return and screen calls and provide referrals when necessary;
~ Maintain and produce adequate reporting of programs;
~ Compose, prepare and distribute correspondence and other documents as instructed;
~ Prepare and maintain files and records;
~ Provides minimal administrative support to the CSJD team;
~ Assist in the collection, recording and accounting forms for weekly deposits and student registration fees;
~ Meet with the Program Manager on a regular basis;
~ Recruit and train volunteers through an orientation process;
~ Communicate regularly with staff, teachers, and volunteers about organization events and activities.
- Undergraduate degree preferable or relevant experience in program coordination;
- Valid driver license.
- Bilingual required; fluent in Spanish and English (read, write, and speak);
- Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043);
- Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals;
- General understanding of the Catholic Latino experience and effectively work with people from diverse cultures.
